In a 1999 survey, 15.3% of high school students reported being current cigar smokers, which is a reduction from previous years.1
Teen cigar smokers were three times as likely to be users of cigarettes or smokeless tobacco than those who do not use tobacco.2
Estimates of women's share of the the adult cigar smoking market vary from 1 to 12%. The cigar industry is targeting the female market with a glamorous image of cigar smoking.3
