Of the cancers reflected in this chart, three are known to be smoking related: cervical, pancreatic, and, of course, lung. Other cancers not shown here are also tobacco-related, such as laryngeal, mouth, and bladder.

Though breast cancer is #1 in cancer incidence in women (estimated 182,800 in 2000) and the incidence of lung cancer in women (estimated 74,600 in 2000) is less than half of that, lung cancer actually kills more women (estimated 67,600 in 2000) each year than any other form of cancer, including breast cancer (estimated 40,800 in 2000).
