Help smokers who are ready to set a Quit Date.

Help smokers build confidence in ability to quit.

Offer information on nicotine replacement therapies and smoking cessation drugs (bupropion).

Refer to or provide cessation resources such as the American Lung Association or American Cancer Society, self-help manuals, videos.

Consider patient’s literacy level and/or English competency; have a variety of materials available.
